Elizabeth and Anthony were married at Peckforton Castle, the stunning historic wedding venue in Tarporley Cheshire on 13th May 2016, only 12 days before world famous footballer Jamie Vardy marries Becky Nicholson there!
Peckforton Castle is an amazing wedding venue situated in the heart of Cheshire, and just 12 miles from Chester town centre, where Anthony and Elizabeth held their wedding service at St Werburgs Church. Peckforton Castle dates back to 1844 where it was built as a family home for John Tollemache, a wealthy Cheshire landowner. Now, owned by the Chris Naylor family, following their own wedding there in 2006, the castle has been used for TV Programmes such as Dr Who, and can now be booked out for weddings, and made the stunning backdrop for Elizabeth and Anthony's Peckforton Castle wedding!
As a Lancashire Wedding Photographer based in Preston, I was a little concerned about making the journey so early in the morning with rush hour traffic, combined with an early start, so booked in a night early and stayed just up the road in Tarporley.
I arrived at Peckforton Castle for the golden hour sunset, and was able to get some photographs, as the weather forecast for the next day wasn't looking as good, I was really pleased to get some photographs of Peckforton Castle glowing orange as the sun set behind me, an amazing sight!
Elizabeth and Anthony were already present at the castle, and can actually be seen in the above photograph having a glass of champagne on the lawn at the front of the castle the night before their wedding!
I spent the morning between Anthony, and the rest of the guys getting ready at the Lodge at the bottom of the long winding driveway upto Peckforton Castle, and later with the Elizabeth and the girls in the bridal suite in Peckforton Castle. Elizabeth looked absolutely stunning; and Anthony didn't polish up too bad either, wearing a traditional Scottish kilt and full wedding attire to honour his Scottish heritage.
After the wedding ceremony at St Werburgs Church in Chester, everyone headed back to Peckforton Castle for drinks outside the castle, canapes on the lawn, outdoor music, and even the resident peacock came to have a look at what was going on, and managed to sneak into a few of the photographs!
Later, inside Peckforton Castle, guests enjoyed a fantastic meal and speeches, and more live music in the Great Hall, as Anthony's band played late into the night! Anthony even got up on stage to sing at a few points throughout the night!

It was great to work with Aaron Rose who did the wedding video, looking forward to seeing it soon!
