Stanley House, Mellor Brook, Preston Lancashire 10/05/2014
Lisa and Lee were married on Saturday 10th May 2014. I spent the full day at their wedding, from meeting in the morning at 9am to photograph Lisa and her 5 bridesmaids and 2 flowergirls preparing for the day ahead; and enjoying a glass (or two) of Champagne, through to the evening celebrations where everyone was dancing.
Their wedding reception was at St Saviour's Church, Bamber Bridge - a lovely little Church, new to me, tucked away behind trees. Following their wedding ceremony, Lisa & Lee headed to Stanley House in Preston for their wedding reception. The weather really wasn't on our side, with patches of rain throughout the day, but thanks to the excellent canapees and indoor facilities at Stanley House, all their guests were were well looked after all day!
There was plenty going on throughout their wedding, with singing waiters, a soul band, wine on every table and a fantastically decorated wedding breakfast room.
I managed to get Lisa & Lee outside for 1 dramatic photograph during a "brief" break in the rain in the evening - which actually started up again as I was half way through taking this photo (if you look closely you can see actually see the rain coming down!) I love taking photos with moody skies, which can lead to really dramatic pictures! Moments later there was a torrential downpour and we all had to rush back inside - but I think it was worth it to get this shot!
Here is a small storyboard of photos for now, while I prepare more photos for Lisa & Lee to see:
Thanks for asking me to photograph your wedding!
