Danielle & Ash
Wedding at Llyn Gwynant Campsite, North Wales on 05/07/2014
Danielle & Ash were married at St James Church, Bangor, North Wales, and held their wedding reception at Llyn Gwynant Campsite, in Snowdonia. From the minute I arrived, I knew this was going to a fantastic wedding.
When meeting Danielle and Ash a few months prior, they had mentioned that Llyn Gwynant was perfect for what they wanted, and that if the weather was good, they had loads of outdoor things planned, like games of rounders, a hog roast and that many of the guests would be camping over, bringing their own tents etc.
Driving there in the morning, my car read 23c, and the skies were blue... so I knew there was going to be some fun times ahead... and I wasn't wrong. I photographed solidly for 14 hours, and I honestly don't know where the time went... I was welcomed like a guest, and I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it (until the midges attacked in swarms later by the lake!!). Danielle and Ash had the most fun packed day. Everyone enjoyed it!
What an amazing venue!! The 25 mile drive from the Church to the campsite was like something you'd see on TopGear - stunning views over Snowdonia national park, and some of the best roads I think I have ever driven on.
There was an outdoor hog-roast, an organised game of rounders by the lake, live music, alcoholic ice lollies, giant helium balloons and the sun didnt stop shining until way past 10 o clock at night.
I have compiled a small storyboard to hopefully show the fun that was their wedding, and hope the photos do it justice. Thank you so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer, I have never photographed anything quite like this before and other than the midge bites (which are still all over my arms and legs!!) I loved it.
